NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENT TESTING

Certified SAEF® performs supplement testing in state-of-the-art laboratories accredited to the ISO17025 standard.  The purpose of Certified SAEF® is to assist the nutritional supplement and sports nutrition industries with process and quality control procedures and to provide third-party unbiased testing to reassure customers that products are safe and effective.

The two core principles behind Certified SAEF® are safety and efficacy. Many standards organizations have been formed that examine the contents of natural health products and dietary supplements to verify proper labeling. Certified SAEF® brings natural health products and dietary supplements to the next level by ensuring that the product performs as it claims and does not produce any adverse effects. To ensure accuracy, testing is conducted during clinical trials with a minimum 8-week duration with human subjects and recommended dosages. Furthermore, products which are Certified SAEF are guaranteed to contain no substance banned by national college sports associations, International Olympic Committee, or World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Certified SAEF® laboratories has the infrastructure available to test powders, liquids, gels, capsules, bars, and tablets with the highest accuracy the industry can offer.  In order to become Certified SAEF®, products must undergo rigorous clinical trials to ensure product claims are met or exceeded and that no prohibited substances are present as defined by national college sports associations, the International Olympic Committee, and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Only manufacturers who have been tested and approved as Certified SAEF may bear the Certified SAEF® mark and have their products listed on the Certified SAEF® website.
